Our schools are committed to responding to the issues and forces that shape students’ lives while also providing them with tools to make sense of the world around them. This means providing current events and issues resources to teachers to develop culturally-responsive and sustaining practices to sharpen the media literacy skills of students and the tools to navigate difficult conversations that may arise. In addition, this webpage offers resources for families to build context on current issues and events at home and to deepen the learning students are engaged with in class.
