Aaron Bogad is the Staten Island Borough President's appointee to the PEP. Since 2015, Aaron has been a member of Community Education Council 31 and was the elected President of CEC 31 for the past three years. Aaron has dedicated his life to the service of others and would simply describe himself as a dad who cares. Through his efforts, he has built a reputation as a trusted and respected member of the education community and beyond.
Aaron served on the District Leadership Team and represented families on the Chancellor's Parent Advisory Committee. He also served as President of The Staten Island Federation of PTAs and as President for the District 31 High School President's Council. Prior to that, Aaron held many positions at his children's schools including PTA President and PTA Treasurer and has been a part of many working groups within the district and DOE Central.
For the past 12 years, Aaron has coached youth softball where he remains a USA Softball Certified Coach in his daughter’s travel softball organization. Aaron also served as a board member for five years at the Arden Heights Jewish Center.
Aaron was a NYC EMS Emergency Medical Technician who suffered a career ending injury on September 11, 2001 while responding to the World Trade Center. Aaron and his wife Arlene live on Staten Island with their three daughters and two rescue dogs Gypsy and Jake. Their youngest daughter currently attends a NYC DOE high school.
