Opportunities

GenConnect

GenConnect is an eight-session program for families who speak languages other than English. Families will build skills in reading, and more. Through this program, you can help your child learn, and feel more confident speaking up at school. Check back this fall for information about 2026-27 programs.

Multilingual and Immigrant Conference

The Multilingual and Immigrant Family Conference celebrates the diversity of our communities. The event will have workshops such as the benefits of bilingual education, understanding school laws, and tips for mental health. Check this page later for information on how to register.

New York State Association for Bilingual Education (NYSABE)

NYSABE is a multilingual and multicultural association which unites educators, parents, school administrators, researchers, the media, and policy makers throughout the State. Are you interested in starting a new career or going back to school? Join NYC Public Schools Adult Education programs to begin. Free classes will support you to learn English or get your high school diploma.
